Flu jabs are different this year and it depends on your age to which jab you get. To get your flu jab simply ask at receptipn or call to book an appointment.Flu JabThe flu jab is available every year on the NHS to protect adults (and some children) at risk of flu and its complications. Flu can be unpleasant, but if you are otherwise healthy it will usually clear up on its own within a week. However, flu can be more severe in certain people and as such we offer it free of charge to the following patients:

    • anyone over the age of 65
    • children aged 2, 3 or 4 years old
    • pregnant women
    • carers
    • children and adults with an underlying health condition (particularly long-term heart or respiratory disease)
    • children and adults with weakened immune systems

The flu jab will be available in practice from now until the end of March.
Under 18s will be given the nasal flu instead of the injection, over 65s will get the fluad vaccine and under 65s will get the quad vaccine.
